Antonio Macchi Cassia
Graphic artist in the advertising offices of La Rinascente of Milan in 1960. He carried out several projects for Siaf of Milan.
Partner with the Bonfanti-Macchi Cassia-Porta studio (1968/70). Consulent with C. Olivetti & Co. for Industrial Design from 1968 to 1993.
From 1971 to 1992, he worked with the architect, Roberto Beretta in a planning studio.
Presently owner of Studio Macchi Cassia in Milan.
He has been a consultant many times and has collaborated with the most important design companies.
He has lectured at IED Milan, ISIA Rome, IUAV Venice. Since 1994 he has been a Professor of Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano university in the Faculty of Architecture.
A member of ADI (Associazione Disegno Industriale) since 1967, a past vice-president and now a member of the Committee.
His works are present in the permanent collection of the MoMa in New York.
He collaborated on the XV edition of the Triennale of Milan and his works are exhibited in the Museum of Design.
Selected for the V and VII Biennial of Ljubljana.
Selected with six products for the Compasso d'Oro prize (1979).
First Prize Smau Industrial Design (1980 / 1983 / 1984 / 1993).
Selected with two products for the Compasso d'Oro prize (1981).

Since 1993 he has been a member of the “Design Jury”.
From 2000 to 2003 he was a member of the board of the Poli Design Consortium at the Politecnico di Milano.
Since 2001 he has been a board member of the ADI Foundation for Italian Design.
